20 Questions About Music Tag

Monday, 19 September 2016

Hey friends! Yes I'm back with another tag because I love answering questions about myself (because I'm self-obsessed). I saw this tag a while back over on Shifting Tales, a blog I totally adore, and decided I wanted to do it too. I've been wanting to talk about my musical taste for a while here and this seems like the perfect to do it.

A photo of me next to text saying "20 Questions About Music Tag"
1. Which bands/artist do you own the most albums by?
By far, I definitely own the most albums by P!nk although I don't have all of them.

2. What was the last song you listened to?
"Mountains" by Biffy Clyro

3. What’s in your CD player right now?
The only CD player I own is in my car and I'm pretty certain the CD in there is Beyoncé's Lemonade.

4. What was the last show you attended?
I went to see Muse in Berlin, and they're a band I listened to more when I was younger but it was a really fun show!

5. What was the greatest show you’ve ever been to?
Ooh this is a toughie. P!nk was pretty amazing live and she was the first concert I went to. But I also really loved seeing Watsky. Also The Lumineers and Kodaline were very good.

6. What’s the worst show you’ve ever been to?
So originally my answer to this was going to be "I don't think any of the shows I've been to have been bad". It's changed since seeing Morrisey. I can honestly say that was the worst. It just was not a fun gig at all. I spoke about it in my monthly roundup.

7. What’s the most musically involved you have ever been?
I own a lot of instruments currently including two guitars, a violin, a mandolin, a ukulele and a keyboard. I'm can pluck out a song on the mandolin and ukulele but I learnt the guitar for a year and I'm currently having lessons for the violin. So I guess the answer is now!

8. What show are you looking forward to?
I just recently booked tickets to see Watsky again in Manchester, which I'm extremely excited for!

9. Have you met any of your favorite bands/artist?
I met Watsky twice and I was inevitably terrible. I could barely speak but I got to have a photo with him. At the same concert, I also got to meet Dylan Saunders from Starkid and I was even worse with him. It was amazing nonetheless. He talked about Chinese food.

10. What is your favourite band shirt?
I think possible my Florence and the Machine tee because it's just a very pretty design.

11. What musician would you like to hang out with for a day?
I've racked my brain for an answer but I genuinely don't know. It would be cool to hang out with any of my favourites like Watsky or Florence Welch. But then, I imagine it would be insane to hang out for a day with the likes of Beyoncé, because I don't know what she would do on an average day.

12. Who is one musician or group you wish would make a comeback?
I think I would like Pulp to do more shows so I could see them

13. Who is one band/artist you’ve never seen live but always wanted to?
I'd really love to see Regina Spektor. I imagine that's an amazing show.

14. Name four or more flawless albums:
Far by Regina Spektor
Cardboard Castles by Watsky
The Airborne Toxic Event by The Airborne Toxic Event
Lungs by Florence and the Machine
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by Florence and the Machine

15. How many music related videos/DVDs do you own?
I have two I've watched and two I haven't. The two I've watched are an Airborne Toxic Event one and a Starkid one. The two unwatched are a Biffy Clyro one and Beyoncé's Lemonade (I know I'm awful).

16. How many concerts/shows have you been to in total?
Eleven I think

17. Who have you seen the most live?
I've seen Watsky, McBusted and The Lumineers all twice.

18. What is your favorite movie sountrack?
Ooh this one is a difficult one. I really like the soundtrack to 500 Days of Summer

19. What was your last musical “phase” before you wisened up?
I was very into pop punk during my teen years. I'd definitely still sing along to some of those bands now but it's not something I chose to listen to.

20. What’s your “guilty pleasure” that you hate to admit to liking?
I don't know if I have any "guilty pleasure" music anymore. I'm quite open about what I like.

If you do or have done this tag, let me know below. I love reading tags!

Thanks for reading!
