March 2016

Monday, 4 April 2016

Hello friends! It's the return of my monthly roundup. I feel like I've done more things this month so I actually have something to write about!
March, for me, has been about returning to normal as much as possible. The first two weeks of March I was still at my parents house, plodding through my recovery. Half way through I returned to the Wirral and stayed at Matts for a little while. I saw Hail Ceaser! with his family, which was very good. If you've kept up with my update posts I reached the six week mark and was finally able to speak again which was just amazing! Since then I've had my first pizza since the surgery, my first coffee, my first easter egg. A month of firsts. I also ordered my first subscription box from Laurel and Cedar this month which was exciting and I'm going to get an unboxing up very soon! It's been a quiet month, but it's been what I've needed to recover and ultimately to start getting back to normality.

  • Daredevil is my first favourite of the month. Season 2 was A-MAZ-ING!! I loved it so much, even more than the first season. Daredevil is quickly becoming one of the more interesting Marvel superheroes in my opinion and this show is spectacular. You should definitely watch it if you haven't already. I'm planning to do a more in-depth, less gushy review at a later date. And also, can Charlie Cox please marry me now?
  • I got this little BB-8 pin from Hannah Hitchman on Etsy, and it's just so cute. It's the first pin I've ever owned and whilst I'm still trying to figure out how to wear it, it's really sparked a new found love of pins and I can't wait to get more.
Link Love
  • I loved this outfit over on The Dainty Squid. I'm desperately lusting after midi skirts right now and Kaylah's is beautiful. Pairing spots and stripes is something I hadn't really thought about doing but after seeing how well it works here, it's something I want to try out.
  • Another great post I read this month was by Ophelia Dagger. She wrote about gender, the way she feels inside and the way she outwardly shows her gender. It's something I totally understand and the post is definitely worth a read.

How was your March?

Thanks for reading!
