July 2015

Wednesday, 5 August 2015

I've decided to start a new, albeit unoriginal feature on my blog and that is a monthly roundup. At the end of each month I'm going to review the month I've had, what I did and my monthly favourites as well.

This month was a fairly hectic one. I transferred jobs and moved in with Matt's parents. Much of the month has been taken up by packing and unpacking. It's forced me to leave the comfort zone of my old job and meet new people. It's been...okay so far. On a brighter note, this month we also celebrated two graduations and two birthdays, mine and Matt's. On the blogging front, things could be better. Because I've been so busy recently, it's been hard to keep on top of blogging but I'm hoping that in August things will level out and I should be able to blog more regularly.

Ultrabland Face Cleanser - Lush

This was my first purchase from Lush along with the Mint Julips lip scrub. I'd always been put off by Lush because of the prices but I figured it's about time to try it especially since I'm trying to make my skincare and make-up products cruelty-free. I went for this cleanser because I'm a bit clueless when it comes to skincare and I'm not really sure what my skin needs. This one boasts being super gentle on skin so I thought it was a safe bet. My skin has felt so much better since using this and it looks so much clearer. Also despite using this pretty much everyday, I've used very little of it which has made me feel better about the prices.

Earrings - Catsplugs

This one will come as no surprise to anyone who follows my blog. I just think these earrings are so pretty and can just add a little something extra to an outfit. I think that they're a little different and quirky and I imagine I will end up buying more like this from this shop.

Boots - Missguided

I got these boots very recently on sale for £11. Bargain! I adore them. I bought them thinking they would come in handy for winter, but given that the weather has taken a turn for the worse recently, I've worn them quite a lot already. I can wear them with pretty much any outfit and they just make me feel, well...cooler!

Let me know how your July has been and what you're looking forward to in August?

Thanks for reading!
